Florence Poppy and the world of little women
“Now and then, in this workaday world, things do happen in the delightful storybook fashion, and what a comfort it is.” Louisa May Alcott, Little women (1868)
12.5 years ago I watched Lauren walk down the aisle to music from ‘Little women’. What a fitting piece for this lovely lady and what her future was to behold. A life surrounded by little women with their own unique personalities and a freedom to be themselves. This session was filled with the giggles of little girls, playing with toys, dancing and the gentle care of big sisters helping with their baby sister. Little Florence was never alone there was always little hands reaching out to hold her and kiss her.
One of the hard parts of no longer living in Sydney is not seeing your friends and their little ones growing up. At this age a year is like a life time, so much changes. I am thankful that my trip this year allowed me the opportunity to meet Florence Poppy and capture these once in a life time moments for my dear friend. (Loz next time I see you Florence will probably be crawling, Sj will be onto the next Harry Potter and Clem will have her own stand up comedy act.)
Once again I am reminded how fleeting this life is and how special the moments are we get to share with those who are in our lives but live far away.
