Irah the watcher/ Gold Coast newborn photographer
Walking up to this apartment building felt like a step back in time. Amazing heritage features hinting at its wool store past. Yet modernised with incredible light filled spaces throughout the center of the building and a feeling of life from all the plants. The uniqueness of this space only increased as I entered Dan and Liz’s cosy, character filled home. And it’s here, as the newest addition to the family stirs from his morning sleep in the comfort of his parents presence, ready for a feed, that this gorgeous family session begun.
This little lad was named Irah meaning ‘watchful’ and you will see in the photographs just how fitting his name is. He was always looking around and taking everything in. After a feed and some cuddles we made our way onto the character filled streets around Liz and Dan’s home. As Dan and Liz explored alleyway’s and smiled in front of doorways Irah was none the wiser. The gentle walking movement sending him off to sleep. We ended the session by visiting the local plant stall where an Irish wolf hound named Faolan greeted Dan and Liz like old friends.
This newborn session was so much fun to capture. As beautiful as the architecture and character filled home were, they were both outshone by the most perfect little bub I met inside. Thanks so much Liz and Dan for the honour of capturing your family.
